Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or below-normal temperatures and rainfall across much of the country. Warmer-than-normal weather will be confined to parts of New England, the Deep South, and an area stretching from California to the Four Corners region.
Meanwhile wetter-than-normal conditions should be largely limited to the Pacific Northwest and the Gulf and Atlantic Coast States.
