Marshalltown Community College has announced that four current players with the Tiger baseball program have received D-1 Iowa Community College Athletic Association Conference All-Region Honors.
Clayton Slack and Luke Pell received First-Team All-Region and Sam Tyrpa and Ernsto Moreno Jr. received Second Team All-Region honors.
Slack, a freshman from Viroqua, WI., was one of the best hitters in the conference, leading the league in average wit ha .415 rate.  He was first in hits and runs in conference play, as well as total bases.  Slack also received ICCAC Athlete of the Week April 25 – May 1.
Pell, a sophomore from Joliet, Il., hit .328 with 30 RBI’s and 31 runs scored.  He walked 37 times this year and had an on-base in conference play over .500.
Redshirt sophomore, Tyrpa is from Minnetonka, Mn.  He started nine games for the Tigers and pitched 56.1 innings.  He had 46 strikeouts and an 8.79 ERA.
Sophomore Moreno from Chicago Il. batted .303 for the season with 30 RBI’s and 45 runs.
