A University of Missouri ag economist says the corn market is still being pressured some by planting delays despite strong planting numbers the last couple weeks.

Ben Brown with MU’s Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute tells Brownfield continued rain delays in the northern Midwest and plains are causing corn acreage concerns.

“Some of these corn acres in South Dakota and Minnesota are going to move out of corn, into maybe a different crop, because they can’t get planted,” Brown said.
