A storm system currently crossing the Ohio Valley will reach the Northeast on Saturday. For the remainder of Friday, showers and thunderstorms associated with that storm could result in high winds and flash flooding in parts of the eastern U.S. Meanwhile, a series of disturbances will traverse areas from the Pacific Northwest into the upper Midwest, resulting in 5-day precipitation totals that will generally range from 1 to 2 inches, but could reach 4 inches or more in southern Montana.
