There’s another round of light direct cash cattle trade activity underway. Deals have been reported in Kansas at mostly $135 live, with a few at $136. That’s $2 lower than last week’s weighted averages, but steady with the week’s decline. Bids in other areas are at $135 live. Asking prices are around $137 live in the South, but the North has been slow to develop. Look for more business to pick up over the balance of the week.
