Direct cash cattle trade activity has been quiet to start the day following the week’s light to moderate business.  Asking prices for cattle left on showlists are around $137 live in the South and $225 dressed in the North.  The lone bid is at $222.  While the bulk of the week’s business is likely wrapped up in the South, more trade is still expected to take place in the North.  So far this week live deals have been at mostly $135, $2 lower than last week’s weighted averages.
