A quiet end to the week for direct cash cattle trade activity.  Business has likely wrapped.  Deals in the South were at mostly $135, $2 lower than the prior week’s weighted averages.  Northern dressed deals were at mostly $222, also about $2 lower than the previous week’s weighted average basis in Nebraska.  Asking prices for what’s left on showlists are around $137 live in the South and $225 dressed in the North.  While unlikely, some cleanup trade could take place before the end of the day.
