The American Dairy Coalition is asking the White House to get involved in the dairy labeling issue.
ADC’s board wrote to Director of Office and Management Shalanda Young saying for two decades, the Food and Drug Administration has not upheld its own Standards of Identity for milk and dairy products. ADC says more dairy look-alikes have entered the market during the past two decades of non-enforcement and they cite studies showing consumers are confused by what is in dairy products versus plant-based alternatives.
