Direct cash cattle trade is relatively quiet following the light to moderate trade that took place on Wednesday.  A few bids have surfaced at $136 live in the South.  Asking prices are around $138 to $140 live in the South and $228 dressed in the North.  Deals on Wednesday were at $136 live, $1 higher than last week’s weighted averages.  Dressed deals in the North have been at mostly $225 to $226, $3 to $4 higher than last week’s weighted average basis in Nebraska.
