Western Iowa farmer Kevin Ross says spring planting delays didn’t set his growing season back too much.

“It’s kind of been normal for us to end up head high or almost tasseling by the 4th (of July),” he said. “I don’t know that we will quite be there. We’re going to certainly have some corn that’s head high by that point. I don’t think we’re real far behind.”

The former NCGA president tells Brownfield there have been some minor issues with corn development in his area.
