The USDA’s new Bioproduct Pilot Program is gaining support from farm groups.
Indiana farmer Kendell Culp, a director with the American Soybean Association, says the program provides $10 million in grants over two years to study the benefits of biobased products for construction materials and consumer products.
“Anytime we can use biobased crops that we grow right here in the United States to develop these products that will enhance our transportation infrastructure, I think that’s good for all of us,” he said.
