Drought conditions have created challenges throughout the growing season for much of the Corn Belt.

Ryan Ridder, US product manager for biologicals and fungicides with Corteva, says there are a few ways farmers can manage drought-stressed crops. “Keep your fields clean and keep them insect-free,” he said. “Apply fungicides, especially in some of those geographies that still have a fair amount of potential.”

He tells Brownfield planting a drought-quality corn or soybean hybrid can help as well.
