A South-Central Nebraska farmer says his crops are catching up after a slow start to the growing season.

Walt Traudt of Clay Center tells Brownfield some of his corn and soybeans suffered because of weather. “Because of the high winds in March, April and the beginning of May. They’re coming around.  We’ve caught some beneficial rains. We’re really hoping for a very nice October and November and we should be fine.”

He says last week he received about two inches of rain and some high winds.
