County fair season is in full swing across the Midwest marking a special time for youth livestock projects. For one county fair exhibitor, it was a little extra special.
Montgomery County Fair exhibitor Annie Robinson won champion on-foot market hog in her last year as a youth showman. She tells Brownfield it was a family affair.
“Showing pigs has always been a family tradition,” she said. “It started in 1955 with my grandpa and it just, kind of, took off from there.”
Robinson said she’s no stranger to the show ring with her first show coming in the Lone Star state.
