U.S. Senator John Boozman is taking the opportunity to connect with his constituents during this week’s Arkansas Ag Tour.
He tells Brownfield it’s the chance to try and find solutions from the ground up. “What are the things that they’re challenged with right now,” he says. “What do they view as some of the opportunities? What do they see legislatively that perhaps we can help with.”
Boozman says he hears a lot of the same concerns regardless of where in the state he’s stopped. “We’ve been talking about inflation,” he says. “Labor is a huge problem. Their input costs are rising dramatically and continue to rise. So they have all this uncertainty regarding their business. But the other problem, too, is they are also living in this inflationary environment.”
He says the Ag Tour is the cornerstone of his work in-state during the month of August.
