The USDA is reporting a strong week for old and new crop corn and soybean export sales. Old crop export sales for corn and soybeans during the week ending August 18th were both more than a million tons, while new crop sales for corn were nearly 3 million tons and soybean sales were 6.7 million tons. That strength comes as some major global buyers like China start to switch from the tightening South American supplies to U.S.
