Iowa’s corn crop is advancing ahead of average.

The latest crop report from USDA says three percent is mature, with 52 percent in the dent stage.  Corn rated good to excellent remains at 66 percent.

Seven percent of soybeans are turning color, a couple of days behind normal, with 63 percent of the crop considered good to excellent.
