Direct cash cattle trade is off to its typically quiet start to the week.  Bids and asking prices have yet to surface.  Significant trade volume will likely be delayed until midweek or later.  Live deals last week had a range of $138 to $144, mostly $142, generally steady with the previous week’s business.  Dressed deals ranged from $230 to $238, mostly $232 to $233, $1 to $2 lower than the prior week’s weighted average basis in Nebraska.
