At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live cattle were mixed, and feeders were higher watching corn and the direct markets. October live cattle closed 22 cents higher at $142.80 in December live cattle closed $0.10 higher at $148.57. October feeder cattle closed $.87 higher at $184.35 and November feeder cattle close $1.17 higher at $185.70.
There was another light round of direct cash cattle trade reported on Thursday. Live deals in Nebraska were at $143, while the rest of cattle country was quiet.
