A Central Nebraska farmer says he expects an early start to harvest.
Clay Govier of Broken Bow tells Brownfield most dryland crops have given up. “A lot of chopping has happened like corn silage chopping started early with the dryland pivot corners and stuff like that. There’s actually some high moisture corn that’s being harvested in our area right now.”
He says the area hasn’t received more than a half-an-inch of rain in more than six months.
