The USDA’s national good to excellent ratings declined slightly last week for corn and soybeans.
Weather was mixed again across the region last week, with improved rainfall boosting or stabilizing yield prospects in some areas, but coming too late for others.

As of Sunday, 53% of U.S. corn is rated good to excellent, down 1% on the week, with 95% at the dough making stage, 77% dented, and 25% mature, all slower than normal, and 5% harvested, just ahead of the five-year average.
