The USDA says rain benefited late-planted crops last week in Indiana.
Fifty-four percent of the corn crop is in good to excellent condition. Ninety-seven percent of the state’s crop is in the dough stage, 73 percent is dented, and 15 percent is mature.
Fifty-six percent of soybeans are in good to excellent condition, with 21 percent dropping leaves.
Topsoil moisture is 67 percent and subsoil moisture is 62 percent adequate to surplus.
