Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of cooler- and wetter-than-normal weather in the West, except for near-normal precipitation along the Pacific Coast.
Meanwhile, above-normal temperatures will accompany near- or below-normal rainfall in much of the central and eastern U.S., although wet weather may occur in southern Florida and parts of the Rio Grande Valley.
