It’s a quiet start to Friday for direct cash cattle trade activity following the light to moderate trade that took place on Thursday.  Asking prices for cattle left on showlists are around $146 live in the South and $233-plus dressed in the North.  Look for at least a little clean up trade before the end of the day.  So far this week, Southern live deals have been marked at $145, about $1 higher than the previous week’s weighted averages.
