Another quiet start for direct cash cattle business.  Asking prices are $151 to $152 live in the South and $155 to $156 in the North.  Dressed asking prices have yet to be established.  Bids haven’t surfaced.  Look for business to pick up over the balance of the week. Today’s Fed Cattle Exchange had an offering of 1,120 head, of which none sold.  High bids of $147 to $148 didn’t meet the reserve prices of $150.
