For the remainder of the week, precipitation across the country will be widespread but not particularly heavy.  Showers will be focused by a pair of low-pressure systems, with a third storm approaching the Pacific Northwest late in the week.  The initial storm system, relatively weak, will produce early-week showers in the eastern U.S., with some heavy rain briefly occurring across southern Texas.  The second storm will traverse the West during the first half of the week, later reaching the nation’s mid-section.
