The Global Dairy Trade index fell again Tuesday, although two products saw price increases.
Prices were up for butter and Cheddar cheese, and lower for everything else. Butter gained two-tenths of a percent closing at $4,868 a metric ton or $2.20 per pound. Cheddar was up nine-tenths of a percent to $4,802 per ton or $2.17 per pound.
Buttermilk powder took the biggest loss falling 11.4% to $2,973 per metric ton or $1.34 per pound.
