A farmer in northwest Minnesota finished fall fieldwork ahead of the first snow.

Austen Germolus of Borup says dry conditions allowed harvest to move quickly.

“And then we finished up with working ground and doing whatever we needed to do before we did get snow and a freeze up. So yeah, it’s been a really really nice fall.”

He tells Brownfield the dusting of snow is the first real moisture his area has received since August.
