Direct cash cattle trade is off to its typically quiet start with both buyers and sellers busy taking inventory. Bids and asking prices have yet to surface. With the holiday-shortened week, it’s likely significant trade could develop much earlier than normal. Most of last week’s business took place Wednesday and Thursday with a little cleanup trade on Friday. Live deals were at mostly $150 to $151, steady to $1 higher than the prior week’s business.
