A farmer in west-central Minnesota plans to keep busy through the end of the year.

Swift County corn and soybean grower Nathan Collins tells Brownfield there’s a misconception that farm activity goes quiet at the conclusion of fall fieldwork.

“I usually tell people we typically will drop back to about 40, 45 hours a week for the next couple of months. We’ll get everything wrapped up, cleaned up, put away, and make it look like new again.”

He says a significant amount of planning for the next year happens each December.
