During the next 5 days, a series of storms will result in rapidly changing conditions across much of the country. For today, any lingering Northeastern precipitation will quickly end, while unsettled, breezy weather will stretch inland from the Pacific Northwest to the northern High Plains. By Tuesday, accumulating snow may develop as far south as the central Plains, including drought-stricken sections of Nebraska and northeastern Colorado. At mid-week, wind-driven snow should spread into the upper Great Lakes region, while showers and a few thunderstorms will sweep across the eastern U.S.
