A quiet start to Friday for direct cash cattle trade.  Asking prices have resurfaced at $156 to $157 live in the South and $250-plus dressed in the North.  Bids have surfaced in Texas at $155 live.  While the bulk of the week’s business has wrapped up, some additional cleanup trade could take place before the end of the day.  On Thursday, there was a light to moderate trade that took place with dressed deals in Nebraska and Iowa was marked at mostly $248, $1 higher than the previous weeks’ weighted averages.
