A market analyst expects corn acres to approach 92 million in 2023.

Arlan Suderman with StoneX says that would be about a three and-a-half million acre increase from this year.

“What will make the final determination? It really comes down to South America’s soybean crop. If the world sees that South America overall has a net much larger crop, that’s going to hurt U.S. soybean demand.”

If there is an acreage adjustment, he tells Brownfield it will probably come mostly from the Plains and in the South.
