Multiple disturbances will move ashore along the Pacific Coast, delivering heavy precipitation and high winds. The heaviest precipitation will fall in northern and central California, where 5-day snow-water equivalencies in the Sierra Nevada could reach 5 to 10 inches or more. Heavy rain in California’s Central Valley and neighboring foothills and coastal ranges could lead to flash flooding and debris flows. Much of the remainder of the West will also receive significant precipitation, with the focus for storminess shifting into the Southwest late in the weekend.
