A market analyst suggests South American corn production is in a precarious spot.

Michael Cordonnier with Soybean and Corn Advisor tells Brownfield the crop is expected to be about two percent bigger compared to last year.

“And in a month from now, it may not be up at all.”

He says that’s mostly because of weather challenges in Argentina.

“Now in Brazil, which is a big corn producer, it’s all in the Safrinha, the second crop of corn.
