The last of California’s major weather systems will continue to wind down, with storminess shifting eastward into the Four Corners States.  During the mid- to late-week period, a low-pressure system will move from the central Plains into the Northeast, generating heavy snow from the central Rockies and adjacent High Plains to northern New England.  East of the Rockies, some of the heaviest snow—up to a foot—should fall in parts of Nebraska.  South of the storm’s track, Southern thunderstorms may become severe, especially late Wednesday into Thursday.
