At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live cattle were mixed mostly higher and feeders were up ahead of the week’s direct cash business and Friday’s On Feed numbers from the USDA.  Feeders had additional support from the lower move in corn and the higher trend in boxed beef.  April live cattle closed $.02 lower at $165.07 and June live cattle closed $.22 higher at $161.10.  March feeder cattle closed $1.10 higher at $187.97 and April feeders closed $.95 higher at $191.75.

It was another very quiet day for direct cash cattle business.
