A major American food supplier is the latest victim of a cyber attack on their production systems.

Dole announced Wednesday their computer systems have been infected with ransomware.

In a statement, Dole says they moved quickly to contain the threat and engaged with a leading third-party cybersecurity expert to assist in securing their systems and remediating the threat. Law enforcement is also involved in the investigation.

Dole says the scope of the incident has been limited.
