U.S. butter stocks in cold storage are building while cheese is only down slightly.

In USDA’s latest Cold Storage report, cheese stocks totaled more than 1.4 billion pounds, down slightly on the month and year.

Butter inventories were up 21 percent from last month and 20 percent from a year ago at nearly 263 million pounds.
