It’s another very quiet start to direct cash cattle business.  Bids haven’t surfaced.  Asking prices are around $166-plus live in the South, but still haven’t surfaced in the North.  There’s been some light, scattered trade throughout the week in the North ranging from $161 to $166, mostly $165, which is $1 higher than last week’s business,  but it’s not enough business to establish a trend.  Significant trade could very well hold out until late in the day Friday.
