At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live and feeder cattle were higher ahead of the week’s direct business. Feeders had additional support from the lower move in corn. April lives were $.67 higher at $166.10 and June lives were $.32 higher at $161. April feeders closed $2.57 higher at $198.60 and May feeders closed $2.30 higher at $203.25.
It was a quiet Monday for direct cash cattle business. Showlists this week are mixed – higher in Texas and Nebraska/Colorado, but lower in Kansas.
