A midwestern agronomist says fields in dry areas last fall could see increased corn root worm pressure this season.

Eric Wilson with Wyffels Hybrids tells Brownfield his home state of Iowa is coming out of a significant drought.

“That creates a really good environment for corn root worm to lay their eggs and have good winter survival.”

He says wetter conditions in late May and early June would be good for corn root worm management.
