Meanwhile, a disturbance currently crossing the western U.S. will reach the upper Great Lakes region by mid-week. On Tuesday, accumulating snow may briefly affect the north-central U.S., while rain showers will develop across the mid-South and lower Midwest. A trailing weather system will arrive in central and southern California on Tuesday, bringing an increased risk of flash flooding due to heavy rain and melting snow.
