The head of a state Farm Bureau organization says the US Supreme Court could have a decision on California’s Proposition 12 very soon.
Nebraska’s Mark McHargue tells Brownfield, “We’re hearing that any day we could get a ruling, and we think we might have a friendly ruling.”
The measure requires that pork sold in California is raised under strict guidelines and McHargue says that would create market challenges for producers in other states.
