The U.S. biofuels industry is urging the Environmental Protection Agency to increase Renewable Volume Obligations in the Renewable Fuel Standard through 2025. 

Tom Verry, the director of outreach and development with Clean Fuels Alliance America, says EPA’s proposal increased biomass-based diesel production by 50 million gallons, but more can be produced. 

“There’s market demand much higher than that at 500 million gallons per year, a big difference.”
