Direct cash cattle business has some light trading developing in a couple of areas Thursday. Live deals in Kansas have been marked at $172 and dressed business in the north is $278 to $280. This follows the moderate to active trade that developed late Wednesday afternoon and into the early evening hours. Southern live deals were marked at mostly $170, compared to last week’s weighted averages, that is $4 higher in Texas and $3 higher in Kansas.
