Over the next few days, a Western warming trend will result in gradual melting of snowpack, especially at lower and middle elevations.  Melting snow could lead to significant river rises, especially in the northern Great Basin and parts of the Northwest.  When the warm spell peaks late in the weekend and early next week, temperatures could approach 100°F in the Desert Southwest.  Additionally, warm weather early next week across the Plains could push temperatures to 80°F or higher as far north as southeastern Montana.
