It’s a typically quiet start to the week for direct cash cattle business.  Buyers and sellers are busy taking inventories and collecting new showlists.  Bids and asking prices have yet to surface, but if this week is anything like last, it could be another big week for sellers.  Deals last week were marked at $168 to $172, mostly $170 live in the South, about $4 higher in Texas and $3 higher in Kansas than the previous week’s business.
