It’s a quiet Monday for direct cash cattle business.  Buyers and sellers are busy collecting showlists and taking inventory.  Bids and asking prices have yet to be established.  It will be interesting to see if the momentum from last week will carry over to this week.  Significant trade volume will likely take place midweek or later.  Last week, deals in the South ranged from $170 to $183, mostly $175 about $5 higher than the previous week’s business.
