It’s another sluggish start for direct cash cattle business.  A few bids have surfaced at $177 live and $285 dressed.  Asking prices are being floated around $176 live in the South and $286-plus dressed in the North.  There was some light, scattered trade that took place on Wednesday, but not likely enough business to establish a trend.  Dressed deals had a huge range of $275 to $285 and Southern live deals were at $171 to $172.
